The owner’s brief was to create a new modern frontage to the existing house to give it street appeal and a new fresh look which included rendering the existing face brick walls and re-roofing the entire home from tiles to Colorbond sheets, we extended forward the existing double garage to create an indoor-outdoor activity area and extra storage to the rear of the garage, the entry portico was the focal point using a mixture of stone & composite timber cladding and front porch was a must for the owners who enjoyed sitting out there relaxing.
The store room was required for the clients large collection of camping and fishing gear, we blended it in to the modern frontage by adding 3 tinted long windows and a feature pier, both the custom garage and store sectional doors having negative detail. We then opened up the kitchen / dining to the main living area by pushing out the rear wall and installing stacking doors, this leads into the new large alfresco. The owners wanted to increase their outdoor entertaining space with the idea to have an open gable to give ample natural light into the home.
